ASME provides significant financial support for the Ellie Awards, entitling ASME members who are the chief editors of magazines and websites to pay lower fees. Editors who join ASME before December 31, 2020, are entitled to pay lower fees to enter the 2021 Ellie Awards. ASME members who edit publications with limited print and digital audiences may be eligible for further reductions. Entries submitted by ASME members whose dues are past due as of December 31, 2020, may be deemed ineligible.

Entry fees for ASME members are $295 in the following categories: Feature Design, Feature Photography, Digital Storytelling, Social Media, Podcasting, Video, News and Opinion, Video, Service and Lifestyle, Personal Service and Leisure Interests.

Entry fees for ASME members are $345 in the following categories: Single-Topic Issue, Community Journalism, Reporting, Feature Writing, Profile Writing, Essays and Criticism, Columns and Commentary, Public Interest and the ASME Award for Coverage of Race in America.

Entry fees for ASME members are $395 in the following categories: General Excellence, Design and Photography.

Entry fees for nonmembers are $100 higher in all categories.

Entry fees must be paid in full before January 31, 2021, or entries will be deemed ineligible. Entry fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
